Best of the Web has been going ever since 1994 making it one of the oldest directories there is. They have very strict submission guidelines and sites that do not meet their criteria are rejected. As long as you have a genuine website with unique content then you should be fine, I have never had any problems getting my clients sites listed in there. Because they have good editorial integrity, getting a link from there for your website is valuable. I submit all of my SEO client’s sites because I believe that a link from there can help to build up trust with the search engines, which is very important, especially for new sites. You can get your site reviewed for inclusion for a one off cost of $249 or you can pay a yearly review fee of $99. If your site is rejected you are entitled to make one more submission. I advise you have good read the Best of the Web Submission Guidelines before you submit to avoid disappointment.
